Mint yogurt (Raita/ yogurt dip)

Raita, yogurt, mint

Mint yogurt/ Raita is a Pakistani, Indian & Bangladeshi condiment made with yogurt and can be used as a dip, sauce or salad. It can be seasoned with coriander, cumin, mint, pepper and other herbs & spices. It is a garnish which acts as a cooling flavor to the spicy dishes that soothes the chili in the dish and refreshes the palate. It can be made by mixing yogurt with various light spices, vegetables and fruits. Lets move on to the recipe:

You will need:

Mint leaves        Few
Salt                     Pinch
Black Pepper      Pinch
Yogurt                1 cup
Cumin Seeds      Few crushed

I love to have yogurt/raita with rice. I also love to have it with Potato filled chapati. Its really easy to make. Chop some mint leaves finely. Add pinch of salt, black pepper and crushed cumin seeds in 1 cup yogurt and whip properly. Serve.. yummmmm
