Gobi Gosht (Meaty Cauliflower)

I'm back with another variant of cauliflower. I have earlier discussed with u the simplest form of cooking Cauliflower - here. It is one of the vegetables my hubby loves the most. Anything with cauliflower, he would never ever say no lol.. wonder what? I never liked to eat it. But hubby has at last made me habitual of eating n even cooking it :P n now I kinda love ittttt! oh myy! This vegetable is easy to cook n healthy for u! Today I am going to mix it with mutton for a new yummacious taste. (Ofcourse it kills my cravings too :P) here is the recipe:



Serves: 2-3

Ingredients:

You will need the following things:

Cauliflower florets                              1 bowl (Chopped into medium size n washed)
Mutton                                               250 gm.
Oil                                                     2 wooden spoon (Doi)
Onions                                               2 medium sized
Tomato                                              1 medium size
Green Chili                                         2 chopped
Red Chili powder                               1 1/2 tsp.           
Turmeric Powder                               1/2 tsp.
Black Pepper                                     1/2 tsp.
Whole Spices Powder (Garam Masala) Pinch
Red Chili Flakes                                 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste                                        1/2 tsp.
Ginger Paste                                       1/2 tsp.
Salt                                                     1 tsp.
Cumin Powder (Zeera)                        1 tsp.
Coriander Powder                               1 tsp.
Clove (Long)                                       2
Whole Black Pepper                           2
Cardamom Pod (Bari Ilaychi)              1
Cinnamon (Daar Cheeni)                     1 Stick
Coriander Leaves (dhanyia)                 Few chopped
Fenugreek (Maythi) seeds                   Few


Procedure:

First of all in a deep pan add washed & chopped mutton pieces immersed in water with some salt and boil it. It will take 3-4 hours to get cooked. When done properly, remove from flame, and set aside.





In another pan, heat oil, and fry the sliced onions with some fenugreek (mayhti) seeds until golden brown. 

Add garlic, ginger paste, tomatoes, green chili and cook for few minutes until oil begins to separate from them. 

Then add the rest spices except garam masala and fry for few more minutes. 

Next add boiled mutton and cook for 5-10 min. 

Add chopped cauliflower and keep the lid covered for 15-20 min or until it is cooked.

Adjust spices & salt according to ur taste. Garnish with garam masala and chopped coriander leaves and serve. :)
