Triangle Paratha

Breakfast should be the heaviest meal of the day, giving u a bulk of energy at the very start of ur tough day. If u want to follow the nutritionists “Paratha” is the best yet delicious meal to have in the morning.  Fried Chapatis or flat bread called Paratha in Urdu, is an important part of traditional South Asian breakfast. It can be made of wheat flour / white flour or mixture of both, whichever u prefer. You can have it with any dish u want, or with simple or of course cheese omelette ;) , tea/ Pickle. So if u want any change from normal routine try this!! :) Traditionally it is made from ghee, but oil can also be used. They are mostly round in shape. But for a change you can make them Triangle shaped :) kids and even adults will enjoy it :) It makes eating more pleasurable, when you are not serving the same old round chapatis like everyday lol :d The recipe is soo easy, u wud never regret making it. Here is the how u create the triangle shaped chapos.





Ingredients:

For dough:

Whole flour                                            3 cups
Water (Luke warm)                                As required
Salt                                                        Pinch 
Oil/ Butter/ Ghee


 Procedure:

First of all knead the dough & roll out the dough as for chapatis




Paratha/ Chapati/ Flat bread| Flour


 Next take some dough in hand and with the help of some flour shape it round. 







Then roll out this peras/ ball into a small circle as for usual chapati like this:

Spread some flour on the surface while rolling so that the dough doesn't stick to surface. Roll it out gently into the required size & sprinkle some salt & oil/butter/ghee on it. Then fold the circle into half like this:

Then again fold the chapati into quarter or triangle shaped like shown in the below pic:

Next press it gently and roll it out into triangle shaped chapati. The ghee/oil and folding gives it lovely layers!! Next place on heated flat pan/ tawa. Then place 2-3 tbsp oil/butter on the chapati. Flip the paratha onto the other side after a minute or so. Then spread oil/butter on the other side too. Let the paratha on tava/ pan for few more minutes until it turns out golden, yummy & crispy. Drain on tissue/ paper.

Serve with hot tea & pickle <3 :)
