Bottle Gourd - C\also called Louki/Ghia/Dudhi in urdu/hindi. This is a vegetable with excellent health benefits. Even it was our Prophets favorite vegetable!! Today I am introducing u a yogurt based dish - made of this spiced veggie. It tastes delicious! It is also best for ppl on diet, as very less oil used :) The veggie is shown in the pic below:

Tomato Sauce/ Chutney

Today's recipe is about a Dip/Sauce/Chutney.. called Tomato chutney.. which serves as a condiment with several dishes like rice, shashlik, sandwich spread, meat, cheese etc. I learnt it from my friend :) It can stay good for upto a week, if refrigerated :) Its just simple to make, fast, cheap and ofcourse tasty.. It is a great way to keep store that glut of tomatoes that happen every time a year. And the best of all is that it taastes extraaa delicious :P

Mint yogurt/ Raita is a Pakistani, Indian & Bangladeshi condiment made with yogurt and can be used as a dip, sauce or salad. It can be seasoned with coriander, cumin, mint, pepper and other herbs & spices. It is a garnish which acts as a cooling flavor to the spicy dishes that soothes the chili in the dish and refreshes the palate. Chapati with Mint Chutney (Ghee chutney)

I have a different way of having Mint sauce (Chutney) on flat bread (roti/phulkas) with clarified butter. Which we call in urdu as "Ghee Chutney".



I never used to have it; as I thought that it won't taste gud, But trust me it tastes just excellent. And when m not in mood of cooking, I have it with Chapati n butter! Uff yummy!!!

Spicy Green Mint Sauce (Hari Chutney)

Mint Chutney usually known as Hari chutney in urdu or hindi, is a spicy dip made from mint & coriander leaves. It is a delicious and healthy dip, and can be used with different dishes. It is an extremely flavourful and versatile condiment & is served in small quantities. It is one of the most popular dip around the world as it can be served with any food, mixed in yoghurt to make raita, put on chapati with butter etc. This chutney has the aromatic freshness of mint combined with the earthiness of coriander. It can also be used to prepare snacks. It is best used as a condiment with grilled food or even fried one, but may be used as a spread or dip too.. Tamarind Sauce (Imli ki chutney)

Tamarind is an edible, pod like fruit, which are used extensively in all the cuisines throughout the world. It seems to be sour but it is often used as a component of savoury dishes and even as a pickling agent. It is used in desserts, jams, drinks, juices. It is used to make a chutney that is a great dip for samosas and is also integral ingredient in chaat and dahi baray <3 This exotic chutney is a great condiment in Paki cuisine.It can be called the Ketchup of the East. It is also known as saunth chutney in India. It has the sourness of tamarind seeds, balanced with the sweetness of jiggery and the earthiness of dried ginger and mild hotness coming from red chilli and cumin seeds :) u can store it in an air tight container and use it for months.
