Chicken Jalfrezi

Chicken Jalfarezi| Boneless chicken| Capsicum| Onion| Vegetables| Spicy| Green Chilies


Jalfarezi (jhal - spicy food, pharezi - suitable for a diet) is a type of curry that involves frying that involves frying marinated pieces of meat, fish or vegetables in oil to produce a dry thick sauce. Its main ingredients are green chilies, onion, tomato & capsicum. Jalfrezi recipes originally appeared in cookbooks of British Raj. Chicken Jalfrezi in Pakistani/Indian dish that has a delicious spicy taste.. It is most loved by my family. It is best served with hot naan/chapati or even rice :) Lets move on to its step by step recipe:



Ingredients:



Capsicum                                          2  green (cut into cubes)
Green Chilies                                     2 (chopped)
Onion                                                 1 large sized (cut into cubes)

First of all fry onion, capsicum and green chilies in 1 tbsp. oil and set aside.


Egg                                                        1
Salt                                                         Pinch
Pepper                                                   Pinch

Onion| Capsicum| Shimla mirch| Chicken Jalfarezi| Scrambled Egg| Omelette

Beat all of the above in egg and fry in 1 tbsp. oil in form of omelette, cut into cubes and set aside.


Tomato                                         1 cut into cubes
Ketchup                                        1 1/2 tbsp.

Fry in 1 tbsp. oil and add some water and cover for 10-15 min to form tomato paste. Set aside.

Boneless Chicken                                          1/4 kg cute into small cubes
Oil                                                                     1 wooden spoon (Doi)
Garlic ginger paste                                        1 tsp




Heat oil add garlic ginger paste and fry the chicken cubes until they change color.

Black Pepper                                     1/2 tsp.
Red chili powder                                1/2 tsp.
Red chili flakes                                  1 tsp
Turmeric powder                               1/4 tsp.
Salt                                                     1/2 tsp.
Chili sauce                                         1 tsp.
Yogurt                                                 2-3 tbsp.
Tomato                                               1 chopped    
All spices powder (Garam masala)    1/2 tsp  
Chopped coriander                              2-3 tsp.

In the frying chicken add all the spices, blended yogurt, tomatoes and the tomato paste you prepared before. Cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked. And oil separates. At the end add the fried capsicum,onion and chopped omelette. And serve hot! Its yummyyy!! :)
