Tandoori chickpeas/chanay are seriously an amazing & different type of their variety! Their unique taste has made me fallen in love with them lol :P Tamarind gives an excellent taste to them! Lets move to the recipe:
Ingredients:
Chick Peas (Chanay) 2 cups (boiled)
Oil 3 tbsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Onions 1 medium sized (chopped finely)
Tomato puree 3/4 cup
Red Chili powder 1 tsp.
Salt 1 tsp
Cumin Powder (Zeera) 1 tsp.
Green Cardamom 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves (dhanyia) 2 tbsp.
Ingredients for Tamarind Sauce:
Tamarind 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Water 1/2 cup
For Garnishing:
Green Chili 2-3 fried
Cottage Cheese Few cubes fried

First of all take a pan, add water, tamarind, sugar & salt in it. Bring to boil until all the tamarind pulp separates. Remove seeds & blend the water.
Procedure for Tandoori chickpeas:
Heat oil, and add the garlic and ginger paste & saute it. Now add onions & fry. Next add the tomato puree & fry this for 1-2 minutes. Next add all the rest ingredients - red chili, salt, cumin, cardamom- (including tamarind sauce) & cook for 1-2 minutes. At the end, add chick peas & put on steam (dum) for 3-4 minutes. Pour into the serving bowl & garnish with fried green chillies & cottage chesse cubes!
yuumm!! Tandoori chickpeas are ready! I mostly Serve them with gram flour fritters - dahi baray :)
