Butter-cream Frosting is one of the the best kinds of frosting/icing that can be used for decorating cakes!
Ingredients:
Unsalted Butter 1 cup (Softened) 220 gm
Icing Sugar 2 & 1/4 cup (180 gm)
Hot Milk/ Water 2 tsp
Vanilla Essence 1 tsp
Procedure:
Take a bowl, and beat the softened butter & icing sugar until it becomes soft & fluffy & form smooth creamy peaks! Add the essence & water. Hot water will make the icing smoother. Beat more for 2 minutes & use!!
P.S. You can replace icing sugar with grinded sugar + 4 1/2 tbsp cornflour.
-For Lemon frosting - use 2 tbsp lemon juice + 1 tsp lemon zest instead of vanilla essence.
-For Chocolaty frosting - use 2 tbsp. coccoa powder instead of vanilla essence.
-For Orange Cream frosting - Add 1 tbsp Orange Juice + 1/2 tsp grated Orange peel + 2 drops of orange food color.
-For Rose flavored butter cream frosting, just replace vanilla essence with half tsp of rose water. U can add red food color too :)
-You can add any food color of your choice in it while beating if u want!
Notes: If u are facing the problem that the icing is melting; make sure u are not applying it on hot cake. Secondly, when ever you try to use it, refrigerate it before using it. Or try making it bit thick by adding more icing sugar :)
- You can refrigerate for about a week or freeze the leftovers for even a month :) Just let it soften at room temperature before u use it :)
