My Oreo Ice cream Cake has waited a long time for an event to take place :) and yesterday was my 2nd wedding anniversary Masha Allah.. So I tried this wonderful no bake recipe. Hope u will like it :)
This recipe is best to make when u have lots of icecream & u don't feel like having it lol.
Vanilla Ice cream 1 litre pack
Oreo Cookies 40-50 cookies
Caramel Sauce 1/4 cup
Chocolate Fudge Sauce 1/4 cup
Walnuts 1/4 cup
First of all, in a bowl pour out the litre pack of vanilla ice cream and let it soften for about 15-20 minutes. Don't let it liquefy too much. Just soft.
Take a 9 inch cake pan, and line it with plastic wrap, as shown.
Next line the inner edge of cake pan with Oreo cookies all around. Fill the base of cake pan with halves of Oreo cookies as shown below: (U can instead line the base of pan with crushed oreo cookies too..)
Note: It might be little difficult to line them, as they may fall, so be careful & gentle.
Next take rest of the cookies and crush them into smaller pieces/ crumbs with the help of hands/rolling pin.
Now mix together the caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, chopped walnuts & Oreo crumbs with softened vanilla ice cream in a large bowl properly. (Reserve some crumbs for topping). Pour this mixture carefully into the pan lined with Oreo cookies as shown:
Level out the top of cake & sprinkle some leftover Oreo crumbs on top. U can also sprinkle some nuts of ur choices or top with cream & caramel sauce as shown. Just acc. to ur wish & taste.
Now freeze this Oreo Cake pan for about 6 hrs or overnight. Make sure the ice cream is really set before u take it out, or it will fall apart & its gonna be a big mess :(
Once set, gently take out the cake from the pan along with the plastic wrap. After placing it into the serving plate, carefully remove the plastic wrap. It will be easy to remove as the cake is set & frozen.
When slicing the cake, u can use the Oreo biscuits around the outer line as guidelines for slicing the cake equally & beautifully. Every slice will have an Oreo cookie at its edge :)
Note: U can also make caramel sauce at home by heating 1/4 cup sugar & 1 tbsp butter on medium flame until brown and then cooking it for few minutes with half cup water until thickened.
Instead of chocolate sauce u can use melted chocolate :)
