This recipe has been in my drafts since long. A sweet member of my fb group has been asking for chicken Korma recipe since long.. I am so sorry for the delay. Lets move on to the recipe-
This recipe is one of the authentic ones :)
Ingredients:
Chicken 500 gm (1/2 kg)
Oil 1 & 1/2 wooden spoon (doi)
Onion 2 medium, sliced, fried
Garlic Paste 1 tbsp.
Garlic Paste 1 tbsp.
Ginger Paste 1/2 tbsp.
Yogurt 1 cup
Yogurt 1 cup
Red Chili powder 3/4 tsp.
Salt 3/4 tsp.
Cumin Seeds (Zeera) 1/2 tsp.
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Black pepper 4 (whole)
Cloves (Long) 4
Bay leaf (Taiz patta) 1
Green Cardamom 4
Black Cardamom 2
Cinnamon Sticks 2
Kewra Essence 2-3 drops
Mace & Nutmeg (Jaifal Javatri) 1/4 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Black pepper 4 (whole)
Cloves (Long) 4
Bay leaf (Taiz patta) 1
Green Cardamom 4
Black Cardamom 2
Cinnamon Sticks 2
Kewra Essence 2-3 drops
Mace & Nutmeg (Jaifal Javatri) 1/4 tsp
Water 1 cup
Procedure:
Heat oil in a pan, and add the sliced onions. Fry them until golden brown, remove, drain on a tissue paper & let them dry. Once dried ground them properly & set aside.
Next add the ginger & garlic paste. Fry until golden brown.
Next add chicken & fry until it changes color. Now add whipped yogurt and all the above mentioned spices. Cook until the meat has become tender & all the water has dried & oil separated :)
Then add ground onions & fry for few minutes. Next add water & cover the lid for 10 minutes until the oil separates & very little gravy has left as shown in pic :)
At end at kewra drops & nut meg & mace powder, stir & let lid covered for 2 more minutes. At end garnish with sliced ginger & coriander leaves.
Delicious & spicy Chicken Qorma is ready. Serve with naan or chapati or boil rice! :)
